Job summary

Pyramid Healthcare seeks a Peer Support Specialist at the Harford Facility in Joppa, Maryland. This full-time, first-shift role supports individuals in recovery before, during, and after treatment, using lived experience to engage clients.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, connect clients to community resources, and document interactions in the medical record. After-hours coverage and training are part of the role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to build rapport and support individuals in recovery.
• Ability to manage crisis or high-risk situations effectively.
• Knowledge of confidentiality standards and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary treatment team members and community partners to support client care and recovery planning.
• Assist clients in establishing connections with community resources and ongoing support systems.
• Document all client and collateral contacts in the medical record timely and accurately.
• Participate in peer record review processes and quality assurance activities.
• Keep supervisors informed of client progress, concerns, and service needs.
• Provide transportation for clients to access community-based resources and services as needed.
• Participate in emergency service coverage as assigned, including after-hours support, crisis planning, hospital diversion, and commitment procedures.
• Complete all required training as designated by the company and licensing/accreditation entities.
