Job summary

West Coast Dental is seeking a Registered Dental Assistant in Los Angeles to join our multi-specialty practice. In this full-time role you’ll assist dentists, prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, take dental X-rays, and maintain patient records with a focus on safety and quality care.

Qualifications

• Active California Registered Dental Assistant license required or in good standing.
• Current X-ray certification (CA) required.
• CPR/BLS certification required; coronal polish/sealant certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments per OSHA standards.
• Assist dentists during general and specialty procedures (orthodontics, oral surgery, etc.).
• Take, develop, and process dental X-rays.
• Maintain accurate patient records and charting.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Ensure infection control and safety protocols are followed.
• Manage operatory flow and support efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborate with front and back-office teams to deliver exceptional patient care.
• Contribute to a positive patient experience from start to finish.
• Be proactive in learning new skills and supporting multiple specialties.
• Participate in mentoring programs to grow clinical expertise.
