General Description

Join the top-ranked Johns Hopkins community as an academic leader at the School of Nursing as a full-time faculty member on the Practice-Education Track, as a Nurse Anesthetist in our DNP Program. Our faculty members are committed to excellence and are recognized nationally and internationally as experts in their disciplines. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to advancing health equity and will play a key role in shaping the future of nursing through responsibilities encompassing teaching, scholarship, practice, and service.

Teaching
  • Utilize innovative teaching methodologies, technology-enhanced learning strategies, and simulation-based experiences to facilitate student learning and achievement of program outcomes.
  • Mentor students on academic and professional development, including career pathways, development opportunities, and licensure/certification preparation.
  • Demonstrate effective interpersonal and communication skills with students, staff, and faculty.
Scholarship
  • Engage in scholarly activities, including publications and presentations, to advance nursing knowledge and practice, with a focused or developing area of scholarship.
Professional Practice
  • Maintain knowledge and skills in clinical expertise.
  • Maintain advanced certification in area of expertise (if appropriate).
  • Serve as a role model by demonstrating exemplary clinical skills, critical thinking, and ethical decision-making.
  • Foster partnerships with healthcare organizations and community agencies for clinical placements and interprofessional collaboration.
Service
  • Contribute to governance, leadership, and committee work within the School of Nursing, university, and professional organizations.
  • Participate in accreditation, program evaluation, curriculum development, and community service activities to promote health equity.

This position is hybrid, requiring 2-3 days onsite weekly.

Qualifications
  • DNP (preferred) or Ph.D. in Nursing; CRNA certification with at least 2 years of experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in academic nursing.
  • RN licensure in Maryland.
  • Experience or commitment to working with diverse faculty, students, and staff communities.
