Job description

Position Overview

As a Forklift Operator, you will use a forklift to transport merchandise within the warehouse, including putting away, dropping down, and rotating full pallets of stock through the inventory reserve racks using a stand-up forklift.

Job Description

• Starting rate: $22/hr

• Shift: 1st Shift - Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm

• Location: 626 Loucks Mill Road, York, PA 17404

• Transport merchandise to/from receiving dock or reserve slots to proper locations.

• Maintain proper replenishment in the computer using a handheld device when pallets are returned to the rack.

• Stack cases, rotate merchandise, refill benches, and fill pallet slots.

• Select orders as needed and move/slot finished products from production to storage areas.

• Pull finished products from storage and load onto trailers.

• Maintain accurate records of quantities, pack sizes, and descriptions.

• Unload materials/products from trailers.

• Utilize technology (e.g., voice systems, RF guns) to select products.

• Complete paperwork for transfer of materials, date pallets accordingly.

• Inspect equipment operated, change forklift batteries when needed.

• Keep work area clean, sweep floors, clean spills, and rework damages.

• Perform sanitation duties as necessary and other job-related duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements and Environment

• Stand, bend, pull, lift, and pivot up to 90% of the shift.
• Walk on various surfaces including concrete, tile, and carpet.
• Frequently lift products weighing 1-60 lbs or more, from floor to overhead.
• Work on multiple levels of varying heights and handle sharp objects safely.
