Job summary

Encore Village of Schaumburg is seeking a Full Time Physical Therapist Assistant to provide physical therapy treatments under the supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist. The PTA conducts therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, gait training, and other modalities to promote independence.

You will document services timely, collaborate with a rehab team, and educate patients and families on treatment techniques.

Qualifications

• Graduate PTA program is required.
• Current IL state licensure is required.
• CPR certification required.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
• Proficient in therapy documentation using NetHealth.
• Must pass medical and physical examinations.

Responsibilities

• Attend patient care and staffing conferences as a PTA representative under the supervision of the Physical Therapist.
• Deliver rehab services; adhere to plan of care and timely documentation.
• Collaborate with rehab team to implement patient programs.
• Assist the Physical Therapist during tests, evaluations, and complex procedures.
• Instruct patients and caregivers in treatment techniques under supervision.
• Maintain documentation for all treated patients.
• Maintain and report equipment needs and repairs.
• Organize treatment groups with the Physical Therapist.
• Perform other related duties as required.
