Job summary

Encore Village of Schaumburg is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to join our rehab team on a full-time basis, Sunday through Thursday. The PTA will work under the Physical Therapist, deliver planned treatments, document progress, and collaborate with staff to support patient goals.

Qualifications include IL licensure, PTA program graduate, CPR certification, and strong communication and problem-solving skills. NetHealth experience preferred to document patient care and outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Attends and contributes to patient care and staffing conferences under the direction of the physical therapist.
• Delivers rehab services per plan of care and documents services timely.
• Collaborates with rehab team to implement patient-specific programs.
• Assists the physical therapist during tests and evaluations.
• Instructs patients and caregivers in therapy techniques under PT supervision.
• Maintains timely documentation for all patients treated.
• Cleans and maintains equipment; reports repairs as needed.
• Implements individualized treatment plans established by the PT.
• Provides individualized physical therapy treatments.

Job description

Encore Village of Schaumburg is currently hiring a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant.

Full-Time Sunday through Thursday

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Attends and contributes to patient care, staffing conferences and other required meetings as a representative of physical therapy, under the direction of the physical therapist.
• Responsible for the effective and efficient delivery of rehab services; adherence to an established plan of care, department, and patient(s)' schedule, and timely documentation of services.
• Works with other members of the rehabilitation team to implement programs and activities consistent with the needs and capabilities of each patient.
• Acts as an assistant to the Physical Therapist when the Physical Therapist is performing tests, evaluations, and complex procedures.
• Instruct patients, families, and other caregivers in the skills and techniques of the physical therapy treatment program under the supervision of the Physical Therapist.
• Maintains appropriate and timely documentation for all patients treated.
• Cleans, maintains, identifies and reports the need for repair of equipment, as necessary.
• Implements a patient's individualized treatment plan as established by the primary Physical Therapist.
• Provides individualized physical therapy treatments.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) therapy program
• Current IL State Licensure
• CPR Certified
• Excellent, verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Results-oriented with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Proficient with therapy documentation (NetHealth)
• Must pass a medical and physical examination based on job qualifications, requirements, and duties/responsibilities.
