Job summary

Country Arch Care Center is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a full-time role in a skilled nursing facility in New Jersey. You will support the physical therapy team to help residents regain mobility and independence.

Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist Assistant license in New Jersey (or eligible to obtain)
• New grads welcome; mentorship and training provided
• Experience in SNF, long-term care, or geriatrics is a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist to improve residents' strength, balance, gait, and functional mobility
• Treat residents with orthopedic, neurological, and post-surgical conditions under supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational and speech therapists
• Document patient progress accurately and in a timely manner using the EMR system
• Participate in care plan meetings and family conferences
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care in a team environment
• Report directly to the Physical Therapist and Director of Rehabilitation
