Job summary

Polaris Rehabilitation and Care Center in Cheyenne, WY seeks a Full Time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join a multidisciplinary team providing patient-centered rehab plans and compassionate care.

The PTA will assist in implementing treatment programs, supervise under PT, use modalities, monitor progress, document outcomes, and collaborate with staff to ensure comprehensive care.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapist Assistant studies.
• Current PTA certification, or willingness to obtain.
• 6 months+ experience in a physical therapy setting; new grads welcome.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong observational and assessment skills.
• Full Time commitment with flexible scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing patient treatment plans, including exercises, stretches, and functional activities.
• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist.
• Use treatment modalities such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy as directed by the physical therapist.
• Monitor patient progress, record treatment outcomes, and communicate with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient treatment plans, progress, and outcomes.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
