Job summary

Arnold Walter Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in West Keansburg, NJ is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team and deliver PT services under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.

Candidates must hold a current PTA license, read/write English, and have nursing home experience preferred; the role includes equipment handling and ADL support for residents.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, unencumbered PTA license in the state.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Experience in a nursing home setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide PT treatments per residents' care plans.
• Prepare residents and ensure equipment is ready.
• Transport residents to therapy areas as needed.
• Instruct on use of wheelchairs, crutches, prosthetics.
• Administer therapies in residents' rooms when required.
• Encourage ADLs and daily living activities.
• Assist with therapies such as exercise, ultrasound, massage.
• Maintain treatment records and report progress.
• Keep therapy spaces clean and organized.
