Responsibilities

• Perform physical therapy initial evaluations according to APTA standards.
• Develop a comprehensive plan of care for each patient based on initial evaluation findings.
• Understand reimbursement standards by insurance carrier and design a clinically superior patient program.
• Demonstrate compliance by developing short and long-term goals, implementing plan of care, and documenting progress.
• Provide comprehensive therapy to improve patient well-being and return to optimized function.
• Report patient progress to referring physicians and other professionals involved in ongoing treatment.
• Create and document home exercise plans for patients to improve benefits of physical therapy.
• Plan and execute discharge of patients.
• Maintain contemporary knowledge through educational workshops and continuing education.
• Communicate with stakeholders in a professional manner (healthcare professionals, insurers, case managers, etc).
