Community Support Services in Akron, OH is seeking a full-time Psychiatrist to join our Psychiatric Services Team. You will perform psychiatric and medication evaluations, lead interdisciplinary teams, and coordinate care for adults with severe mental illness.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree with board residency in Psychiatry.
• Minimum of one year post-academic experience providing adult psychiatric services preferred.
• Licensed to practice medicine in Ohio and board-eligible in psychiatry.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric evaluations and medication management.
• Administer and review somatic therapies, including monitoring drugs and interactions.
• Monitor physical health with appropriate labs and movement disorder evaluation.
• Review clinical records and collateral information to assess patients.
• Lead interdisciplinary treatment teams and provide clinical consultation.
• Coordinate treatment for physical health in CSS and community settings.
• Examine and certify patients for involuntary psychiatric evaluation as required.
