Job description

Join to apply for the Full Time Program Director - SAFE role at Peoples Place.

Seeking a full-time Program Director to oversee daily operations of two (2) 24/7 shelters serving domestic violence survivors and their children in Kent and Sussex counties. Services are trauma-informed, utilizing the Sanctuary Model. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Ensuring the program and staff provide necessary services;
  2. Hiring, training, and supervising staff;
  3. Meeting objectives and outcomes specified by funding sources;
  4. Managing budgets;
  5. Preparing quarterly reports for funders;
  6. Participating in committees and task forces;
  7. On-call responsibilities.

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or equivalent experience and education;
  • Two years of experience with individuals with significant trauma histories;
  • Two years of supervisory experience with a proven ability to foster teamwork;
  • Database and report skills.
