Job summary

Home and Community Options, Inc. in Winona, MN seeks a Full-time Program Assistant for Awake Overnight to provide care and support for individuals with behavioral needs during the night. The role requires remaining awake for the entire shift to assist as needed and ensure safety and comfort.

Earn $21.96 per hour with benefits including PTO, 401(k) with employer match, comprehensive medical/dental, EAP, and paid training. This is a full-time overnight position within a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED.
• Experience or additional training in developmental disabilities or related human services field preferred but not required.
• Must pass a criminal background study.
• Ability to implement program plans/activities and take proper action that will be in the best interest of the individual.

Responsibilities

• Respond to individual needs with full range of communication abilities.
• Provide guidance to operational situations.
• Move about and travel to program sites, with reasonable accommodations.
• Read and write printed material related to the job.
• Use a computer and develop written correspondence.
• Provide physical assistance (lifting up to 35 lbs., bending, twisting, ambulating stairs).
• Assist individuals with personal care and respond to emergencies.
• Access people’s homes not handicap accessible when needed.

• Hourly Wage: $21.96 entire shift

Position Overview:

In this role, you will be responsible for providing care and support to individuals with behavioral needs throughout the night. This position requires the staff member to be awake for the entirety of their shift to assist individuals as needed.
