Montclair Chef in Texas seeks an experienced Private Chef for a UHNW family based 20 minutes north of Dallas. The role is full-time and travel-ready, splitting time between Texas, Cabo, Mexico, and occasional stays in Park City, Utah.

Responsibilities include preparing lunch and dinner Tue-Fri, breakfast/lunch/dinner Sat, grocery shopping, pantry management, and keeping a pristine kitchen. Ideal candidates travel well, are discreet, and can work independently.

Qualifications

Guests: 2 Adults and 2 Kids (sometimes up to 6 guests)

Salary: Up to $200,000 USD per year

Start Date: August 2026

Contract: Full-time, permanent, employed. Tuesday to Saturday, 5 days per week. 15 to 20 days paid leave per year. Additional time off is provided after extended travel periods where applicable.

The role:
A UHNW family based 20 min north of Dallas, Texas is looking for an experienced Private Chef to join their household on a full-time, permanent basis. The family spends most of the year between their home in Texas and their residence in Cabo, Mexico, with occasional stays in Park City, Utah. The successful chef will be comfortable travelling with the family and adapting to changing schedules. The chef will prepare lunch and dinner from Tuesday through Friday, and breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Saturdays.

Food and cuisine preferences:
The family follows a clean, health-focused diet built around high-quality proteins, fresh vegetables, rice, and minimally processed ingredients. Seed oils are avoided entirely. Weekday meals are simple, consistent, and nutritious, while Saturday dinners allow for more creativity and variety. The children generally enjoy more traditional family meals, which may require separate preparation. The chef will also be responsible for grocery shopping, pantry management, stock control, kitchen organisation, and maintaining an immaculate kitchen at all times.

Contract and package:
This is a full-time, permanent position offered on an employed basis. Salary is up to $200,000 USD per year without benefits. The chef willwork Tuesday to Saturday and receives 15 to 20 days of paid leave per year. During extended travel, the chef may work throughout the trip and receive equivalent time off on return. Accommodation is provided whenever travelling with the family. A valid driving licence is preferred.

Additional information:
Previous experience as a Private Chef within a private household is essential, together with an excellent understanding of private residence etiquette. A background in Michelin-starred or other high-end restaurants would be beneficial. The family is respectful, appreciative, and looking for a long-term chef who is organised, proactive, discreet, and able to manage the kitchen independently. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to complete a paid cooking trial.

Relocation support, including flights and up to one month of accommodation, may be available for the successful candidate.
