Job summary

The Bristal Assisted Living seeks a skilled Cook to join our busy Food Services team in a luxury senior living community. You will help prepare, season, and cook meals for residents and staff, following established recipes under the direction of the Director of Food Service or the Sous Chef.

This full-time role requires kitchen experience, the ability to work quickly, clear English, and adherence to sanitary standards. A High School diploma is required; ServSafe preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in a busy kitchen or food preparation area.
• Ability to understand English and follow instructions with minimal supervision.
• Must follow sanitary standards and company regulations.

Responsibilities

• Help prepare food for the next meal service, including chopping, measuring and mixing ingredients.
• Ensure all procedures follow health department regulations and company policies.
• Check food temperatures before meal service and garnish plates.
• Assist with other kitchen functions (dishwasher, utilities, line cook, prep cook).
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the kitchen.
