The Bristal at Jericho is seeking a dedicated Cook to join our busy Food Services team in a luxury assisted living community. You will assist with meal preparation for residents and staff, ensuring high quality, tasty and nutritious meals each day.

We value sincere care for seniors and compliance with health and safety standards. The role requires a weekend day, and prior experience in a fast-paced kitchen is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in a busy kitchen or food preparation area is preferred.
• Must excel in a fast-paced environment and follow sanitary standards.
• Ability to understand English and follow instructions with minimal supervision.
• Proven ability to adhere to all health department regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, season and cook meals for residents and staff as directed.
• Assist with next meal service preparation, including measuring and mixing.
• Check food temperatures prior to service and garnish plates before serving.
• Support other kitchen functions such as dishwasher, line cook, or prep cook.
• Follow all company policies, health codes and safety regulations.
