Job summary

Compass Group USA is hiring for a full-time Prep Cook at Stetson University in DeLand, FL. You will prepare food, serve customers, and uphold HACCP guidelines to ensure safety and quality across multiple stations.

Schedule is Monday–Friday, 6:00 am–2:00 pm with weekends required. Prior food service experience is required. The pay ranges from $16.00 to $17.00 per hour and online applications are accepted.

Responsibilities

• Obtain daily production schedule and preparation requirements from the Chef.
• Prepare items on production sheets following established quantities and recipes.
• Complete and follow daily production worksheets and waste log sheets. Taste completed meals to ensure quality.
• Operate and clean equipment per department procedures after each use.
• Store, label and date all food items according to policy. Follow HACCP guidelines.
• Complete all required documentation, reports, logs as required.
• Comply with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures.
• Take orders from customers and prepare items requiring short preparation time.
• Serve customers in an efficient and friendly manner.
• Complete orders from steam tables and grill and serve customers at multiple stations.
• Use approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control.
• Operate and clean equipment per department procedures after each use.
• Store, label and date all food items according to policy.
• Follow HACCP guidelines to ensure quality and safety of food supply.
• Resolve customer concerns.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
