Unit OverviewThe PACU at GW Hospital is a high-acuity unit caring for patients recovering from anesthesia following surgical and diagnostic procedures. Our team monitors patients during the critical transition from the operating room to recovery, handling diverse cases ranging from general surgery and orthopedics to trauma and cardiac procedures.
Position SummaryPACU RNs at GW Hospital are highly skilled clinicians responsible for the safe recovery of patients emerging from anesthesia. Nurses in this unit must be confident in airway management, pain control, hemodynamic stability, and post-op education.
