Job summary

UCP of Maine is hiring a full-time Assistant PreK Teacher for the Moonlight Meadow classroom at our Brewer, ME location. Team-oriented teachers use research-based curriculum with literacy, puzzles, puppets, music, and more in an inclusive setting.

The assistant helps the lead teacher with daily schedules, supervises ed techs, and communicates with families, supporting school readiness and social skills growth for a diverse group of students.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; ED Tech III preferred (90+ college credits).
• CPR/First Aid/BBP certifications to be obtained within 60 days of hire.
• Safety-Care certification within 30 days of hire.
• BHP certification within 6 months of hire.
• Valid Maine driver's license with reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher with running the daily schedule and activities.
• Supervise classroom ed techs and support staff during lessons.
• Maintain daily communication with parents and guardians.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
