CommuniCare Rehab, a member of the CommuniCare Family of Companies, has a Full Time position available for a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) at Chardon Healthcare Center. Qualifications

• Graduation from a CAPTE-accredited two-year associate degree program in Physical Therapy Assistance.
• Agreement to abide by the APTA Practice Standards and Code of Conduct.
• Passing score on the national licensure examination.
• Physical Therapy Assistant License (Required).
• Competency in therapy treatment principles, techniques, materials, and equipment utilization.
• Knowledge of state and federal accreditation standards.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Good organizational skills.
• Ability to travel as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Verify client information by interviewing clients, reviewing medical history, and confirming treatment purposes.
• Help clients improve their quality of life by assisting with motor skills, independence, and mobility, especially for injured workers and individuals with learning disabilities.
• Implement treatment plans in collaboration with Physical Therapists, and educate treatment staff.
• Participate in continuing education and maintain professional growth.
• Maintain confidentiality of all medical and facility information.
• Maintain accurate billing records as per facility procedures.
• Assist in leading interdisciplinary meetings and relay clinical findings.
• Ensure documentation compliance under supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Provide staff and family training and education through in-services and consultations.
• Manage supplies inventory and ordering.
