Job summary

University Health Truman Medical Center in Kansas City, MO, is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist. Work schedule is 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, at the Hospital Hill campus.

This role includes planning, organizing and conducting medically prescribed physical therapy programs and supervising PTAs, rehab techs and PT/PTA students. Licensure in Missouri and BLS certification are required.

Qualifications

• Degree and graduation from an accredited program in Physical Therapy.
• Missouri Physical Therapy license.
• Verbal and written communication skills required to discuss and document treatment programs and work issues.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds with correct body mechanics to physically manage/assist patients.
• Requires the physical ability to teach and demonstrate locomotor skills, high level coordination and gross motor skills, etc.
• Must maintain certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support for continued employment.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes and conducts medically prescribed physical therapy programs to facilitate/restore functional independence in all patient populations.
• Supervises Physical Therapist Assistants, Rehab Techs and PT / PTA students.
• Works independently; seeks supervision when necessary.
