Job summary

UPMC is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist for our Pine Center - Wexford location, Monday through Friday. The role includes initial assessments, treatment planning, and ongoing documentation to improve function and mobility for patients across ages.

You will verify licensure, provide education to patients and families, and coordinate with physicians and care teams to ensure quality care. This position emphasizes evidence-based practice and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Qualifications

• Active license as a Physical Therapist; PA eligibility or license preferred.
• Experience evaluating and treating patients across age groups (pediatric to geriatric).
• Ability to develop and adjust plans of care with physician collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Communicate patient status to physicians and care team.
• May serve as clinical instructor for PT students and residents.
• Maintain licensure and pursue continuing education for licensure renewal.
• Perform assessments, reassessments, and treatments; supervise PTAs as needed.
• Develop plans of care with goals based on referrals and patient status.
• Modify care plans based on patient response and progress.
• Collaborate with PTAs to adjust patient programs.
• Attend staff meetings and participate in education sessions.
• Document all services and discharge summaries per standards.
