Job summary

The Physical Therapist Assistant II at MUSC Health Black River Medical Center joins a rehab team to provide patient-centered physical therapy services under supervision. Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program, less than one year experience as a physical therapy assistant.
• Licensure as Physical Therapy Assistant by the South Carolina Board of Physical Therapy Examiners.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Provides optimal patient care by implementing a physical therapy program based on age-specific needs.
• Functions as a staff physical therapy assistant under supervision of a Physical Therapist I, II, or III.
• Supervises PTA students and provides clinical education experiences.
