Mission Healthcare in Madras, OR is seeking a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant to deliver direct therapy under the supervision of a Physical Therapist and according to the plan of care. You will treat patients to relieve pain, restore function, and improve mobility with therapeutic exercises, manual techniques, and modalities such as heat, cold, ultrasound, and massage.

This full-time role offers Mon-Fri 8AM-5PM with comprehensive benefits, relocation assistance, and ongoing career growth

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program with an Associate's degree.
• Current PTA certification or license as required by state law.
• Current BLS and hands-on CPR certification.
• Valid driver’s license and a reliable, insured vehicle.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct physical therapy per the directions of the Physical Therapist and plan of care.
• Treat patients to relieve pain, restore function, and maintain maximum performance.
• Instruct patients in active and passive therapeutic exercises, gait and functional training, transfers, and prosthetic training.
• Utilize modalities such as heat, cold, water, light, electricity, ultrasound and massage.
• Observe and report patient responses to treatment to PT and staff.
• Instruct patients in care and use of wheelchairs, braces, crutches, canes, and prosthetic/orthotic devices.

Pay range:

Starting at $40/hour, depending on experience

Schedule/Shift

Mon-Fri 8AM-5PM

Territory/Location:

Madras, OR

Responsibilities

• Provide direct physical therapy according to the directions of Physical Therapist and in accordance with the physician’s plan of care.
• Treat patient to relieve pain, develop or restore function, and maintain maximum performance.
• Direct and aid patients in active and passive therapeutic exercises, muscle re-education, gait and functional training, transfer activities and prosthetic training.
• Utilize physical agents, including, but not be limited to heat, cold, water, light, electricity, ultrasound and massage.
• Observe and report to the Physical Therapist and organization personnel the patient’s reaction to treatment and any changes in patient's condition.
• Instruct patients in care and use of wheelchairs, braces, crutches, canes, and prosthetic or orthotic devices.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program with an Associate's degree in science or applied science approved by the American Physical Therapy Association, Inc.
• Current Physical Therapy certification or license as required by state law.
• Current BLS, hands-on CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license and reliable, insured vehicle.
