Preferred Primary Care Physicians, Inc in McDonald, PA is hiring a Full-Time Phlebotomist/Medical Assistant to support both clinical and administrative tasks. The successful candidate will perform phlebotomy, assist physicians and nurses, manage patient flow, and maintain accurate records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate from an accredited school of medical assistant.
• Three (3) years of medical assistant experience in a medical practice setting preferred, however open to new graduate applicants.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to and from exam rooms and record vital signs.
• Administer subcutaneous and intramuscular injections.
• Answer and return patient phone calls; contact pharmacies for prescriptions or referrals.
• Obtain patient record information, lab data, and diagnostics for clinician assessment.
• Obtain blood specimens from peripheral sites per OSHA and safety guidelines.
• Assist with exams and procedures as requested.
• Assist with scheduling tests, procedures, or follow-up on results.
• Prepare, maintain, and stock exam and treatment rooms; order supplies.
