Ideal candidates hold a high school diploma or GED, and ASCP Registered or NCA Certification is preferred. Basic computer and web-based system proficiency is required to support patient care in a fast-paced hospital

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• ASCP Registered preferred; NCA Certification preferred.
• 0-1 years related work experience preferred.
• Basic familiarity with computers.
• Ability to navigate web-based applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipunctures and fingersticks with proper ID/ labeling.
• Perform and report bleeding times according to procedures.
• Ensure adequate stocking of supplies and report needs.
• Transport specimens to testing sites as needed.
• Participate in QA, competency, mandatory training and continuing education.
