Job summary

Carolina Pediatric Therapy in Waynesville, NC is seeking a Clinic-Based Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLP-A) to join our pediatric team full-time. You will support licensed SLPs in delivering individualized therapy plans for children, under supervision, and help families understand carryover activities at home.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant education program or other qualifications required for North Carolina SLP-A registration.
• Current North Carolina SLP-A registration or eligibility to obtain registration.
• Ability to work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in accordance with North Carolina requirements.
• Pediatric experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment activities and strategies established by the supervising SLP.
• Provide speech-language therapy services to pediatric clients within your authorized scope of practice.
• Help children practice communication skills through engaging, developmentally appropriate activities.
• Collect and document data related to treatment goals and client performance.
• Communicate observations and progress with the supervising SLP.
• Support family education and carryover activities as directed by the supervising SLP.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and follow clinic procedures.
• Collaborate with the clinical team to create a positive, supportive experience for children and families.
