Qualifications

• Responsible for safe, timely and accurate transportation of patients, specimens, supplies, equipment and related items.
• Ensures high level of patient and customer satisfaction; adheres to policies and procedures.

Responsabilités

• Verifies patient identification using two identifiers and matches with assignment information.
• Transports patients safely using appropriate equipment.
• Uses proper body mechanics when lifting and transferring patients.
• Demonstrates competency in transporting patients of all ages and cultures.
• Follows proper transportation modes and isolation precautions.
• Ensures oxygen levels in tanks before transport.
• Secures IV lines and drainage tubes; secures patient prior to transport.
• Notifies staff on arrival and communicates delays or changes in status.
• Provides comfort and dignity to patients and maintains appropriate conversation.
• Assists nursing in transferring patients and seeks assistance when needed.
