Job summary

Patient Dining Associates work on assigned units in a healthcare facility, delivering meals and assisting patients with menu selections to ensure nutritional needs are met. They help assemble and deliver trays, while partnering with nursing and dietary staff to maintain accuracy and timeliness.

Role requires adherence to HACCP guidelines, HIPAA considerations, and good communication with patients and team members. This is a full-time, on-site position with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Help patients understand their menu selections and work with nursing to ensure orders meet nutritional requirements.
• Determine menu alternatives for patients with allergies, dietary restrictions, or preferences.
• Assemble meals according to each patient’s selection and retrieve trays on time.
• Follow HACCP guidelines and maintain sanitation of work stations and tray line.
• Support dietitians and communicate concerns to appropriate personnel promptly.
• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly reports as required.
