Jovie is hiring dependable, enthusiastic, and nurturing full-time and part-time nannies throughout Chicago's Northwest and West suburbs. You will work in families' homes with a supportive team, matching you to placements that fit your schedule and experience.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of childcare experience with three references (two professional).
• Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to different households.
• Willingness to commute for up to 45 minutes.
• Full-time candidates: available 7am–7pm, Mon–Fri.
• Part-time caregivers: one weekend of availability per month.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, nurturing childcare in families' homes.
• Plan age-appropriate activities, crafts, games, and educational experiences.
• Support children's developmental milestones through play and daily interactions.
• Transport children to and from school or activities when required by the placement.

A Day in the Life of a Jovie Nanny

No two days are exactly alike, and that's part of what makes working with Jovie so rewarding.

Some days might involve caring for an infant, planning crafts with a toddler, or helping school-aged children with homework and after-school activities.

Depending on your placement, you may work with the same family on a consistent schedule or provide temporary and backup care for families who need an extra helping hand.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Jovie nanny, your responsibilities may include:

• Providing attentive, nurturing, and dependable childcare in families' homes.
• Planning age-appropriate activities, crafts, games, and educational experiences.
• Supporting children's developmental milestones through play and daily interactions.
• Transporting children to and from school or activities when required by the placement.
• Following each family's household guidelines, routines, and expectations.

What We're Looking For

We're searching for caregivers who genuinely enjoy working with children and take pride in providing exceptional care.

Minimum Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of childcare experience combined with three childcare references, two being professional level.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
• The ability to work independently and adapt to different household environments.
• Willingness and ability to commute for up to 45 minutes.
• Full-time candidates should have the ability to be ready to work between the hours of 7am-7pm, Monday through Friday.
• Part-time caregivers are required to have one weekend of availability per month.

Preferred Experience:

• Career nannies.
• Daycare, preschool teachers, and early childhood educators.
• Elementary school teachers and paraprofessionals.
• Experience caring for newborns, infants, and toddlers is a plus!

Jovie serves families throughout the Northwest and West suburbs of Chicago, with a variety of full-time, part-time, and temporary childcare opportunities.

Family locations include:

• Schaumburg
• & surrounding suburbs

Our team works to match caregivers with families based on experience, scheduling needs, and location. Candidates should be comfortable commuting within the required travel times for both regular and fill-in assignments.
