Job summary

Jovie Nannies + Sitters in Missouri is seeking engaging, responsible nannies to care for children in families' homes. You will play, read, do arts and crafts, and lead age-appropriate activities while ensuring safety.

Expect flexible hours, reliable pay, and growth opportunities within a trusted placement agency. Applicants must have at least 1 year of day-to-day childcare, a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation, 2+ references plus a character reference, and be at least 18 years

Qualifications

• 2+ year(s) childcare, babysitter or nanny experience, preferably including infant and toddler experience.
• Must have a reliable insured vehicle for travel to family homes.
• Minimum age of 18, valid driver's license
• Hold a high school diploma/GED
• CPR trained or willing to receive training.

Responsibilities

• You'll care for children in their homes
• Your only household duties will be common sense clean-up of your activities and meals with the child, no other household duties
• Your care will be for children of the ages for which you have previous experience. We serve infants, toddlers, preschoolers and early elementary ages.
• Variety as you engage children by providing safety and leading hands-on activities based on your observations of the children's age-appropriate development

Compensation

• Hourly wage: $17-20 per hour

About You

• You genuinely enjoy children and are an engaging, creative, child-focused individual who is willing to have fun, play, read, do arts and crafts, and similar activities in families' homes
• You value communication with parents and coworkers
• You have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license to commute to assignments
• You bring at least 1 year of day-to-day childcare experience
• You can provide our team with 3 references, 2 related to working with children, paid or unpaid, as well as 1 character reference
• You're at least 18 years of age or older
• Reliability is important to you and families can depend on you
