Jovie in San Diego seeks caring individuals to join our on-call nanny team, offering flexible scheduling around school, family, or other part-time roles. You will provide in-home child care without mandatory transport duties and enjoy paid training and a nanny kit to support age-appropriate activities.

Engage children with safety-focused, hands-on activities for ages from infants to toddlers, with best demand under age 2. Legal W-2 employment, benefits, and opportunities to advance are included.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children, paid or unpaid; infant experience mandatory.
• Reliable transportation is required.
• Available any 3 or more weekdays for 6–8 hour shifts between 7 am and 7 pm.

Responsibilities

• Care for children in-home, but no requirement to transport children.
• No household duties other than common-sense clean-up of activities or meals with the child.
• Support families needing care for children from infants through toddlers (highest demand under age 2).
• Engage children with safety and age-appropriate hands-on activities based on observations.

As a Back-up Nanny, You Will

• Care for children in-home, but you will not be required to transport children
• No household duties other than common sense clean-up of your activities or meals with the child
• Support families who need care for children ranging from infants through toddlers. Highest demand for care for children under the age of 2!
• Engage children by providing safety and leading hands-on activities based on your observations of the children’s age-appropriate development

We Provide

• Pay: $18 per hour - $21.50 per hour per hour
• Receive paid training and a nanny kit filled with age-appropriate activities and games that you will bring to childcare assignments

About You

• At least 18 years old
• Experience working with children, paid or unpaid, infant experience mandatory
• Reliable transportation
• Your willingness and ability to travel to various homes throughout the area
• You are available any 3 or more weekdays for 6 - 8 hour shifts between 7 am and 7 pm
• Commitment to be communicative and responsive to the staffing supervisor and a bright smile to greet each family!
