Job summary

Advanced Medical Transport (AMT) seeks Paramedics for full-time positions in Peoria. You will respond to emergencies, provide ALS, and support interfacility transports and standby events.

AMT offers a sign-on bonus, comprehensive benefits, uniforms, CEU reimbursement, and a 36/48 hour two-week schedule with 12-hour shifts in Peoria and 24-hour shifts in Pekin and Chillicothe.

Qualifications

• Must have a High school diploma or GED.
• Current Illinois Paramedic license.
• Current American Heart Association BLS CPR certification.
• ACLS, BTLS, and PALS certification or ability to obtain (AMT provides instruction).

Responsibilities

• Examine and evaluate patients to determine necessary care.
• Provide advanced life support when needed.
• Document patient information, condition, and treatment.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and respect patient rights.
• Transport patients in accordance with outlined policies and procedures.
• Operate and drive an ambulance in accordance with safety policies and laws.
• Maintain current certifications as required by licensure.
• Present and promote a professional image at all times.

AMT is a private, not-for-profit organization operated for community benefit.Our Paramedic team members are responsible for caring for patients in emergency response situations, during interfacility transports, and during standby events. Paramedics at AMT work 12-hour shifts in Peoria and 24-hour shifts in Pekin and Chillicothe areas. Shift bid is done twice annually.
