Job summary

Advanced Medical Transport (AMT) is the premier provider of emergency and scheduled ambulance services in Central and Western Illinois, with a not-for-profit community focus. We seek an Ambulance Readiness Technician for the Peoria headquarters, a full-time Day Shift (8:00 am–8:00 pm) role dedicated to keeping ambulances clean, stocked, and ready for patient transport.

You will work with EMT/Paramedic crews to equip ambulances with all items, maintain medical equipment, and promote a sanitary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Illinois driver’s license.
• Current EMT license in Illinois or ability to obtain.
• Ability to bend, pull, push, and lift up to 100 pounds (subject to physical exam)

Responsibilities

• Wash, clean, and decontaminate ambulances.
• Stock ambulances with necessary medical supplies and equipment.
• Ensure all medical equipment is in working order.
• Audit medical equipment and complete documentation.
• Collaborate with team to maintain clean supply room and garage floor.

AMT is a private, not-for-profit organization operated for community benefit.Our Ambulance Readiness Technicians will provide direct support to field providers by ensuring our fleet is clean and ready for service. In this role you will partner with EMT and Paramedic crews to fully equip their ambulance with all required single-use items, maintain good working order of medical equipment, and ensure a clean, sanitary environment for our patients.
