Cabarrus EMS is a progressive emergency services organization providing advanced paramedic-level care to the residents of Cabarrus County. We respond to about 33,000 calls annually, with a response time of 7.2 minutes, one of the best in North Carolina.

Position Overview

Cabarrus County EMS is looking to fill several full-time Paramedic positions. This role involves responding to emergency calls, providing medical care, and transporting patients. Work is supervised by a Shift Supervisor, with guidance from senior staff depending on the placement.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Respond to emergency calls and administer medical care according to protocols.
  2. Transport patients to medical facilities.
  3. Maintain ambulance and equipment; complete reports and documentation.
  4. Participate in ongoing training and station maintenance.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED; Paramedic certification from North Carolina.
  • Certifications in ACLS, PALS, ITLS, CPR, and NIMS.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license.
  • Preferred: experience in emergency medical services.

Compensation

  • Paramedic I: $49,316.80 - $58,968.00 annually.
  • Senior Paramedic II: $54,371.20 - $65,000.00 annually.
