Lancaster-Lebanon IU13 seeks paraeducators to support teachers in special education classrooms. You will provide instructional support to students under the supervision of the program Supervisor of Special Education.
Qualified candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and meet PDE credential requirements, with ongoing professional development of 20 hours annually as required.
Full-time Schedule:
7.50 Hours/Day (8:30 am-4:00 pm), Monday-Friday 185 Days/Year Minimum Hourly Salary:
$20.00
Purpose Of Position The paraeducators assigned to special education classes or programs provide instructional support to the teacher (instructional leader) and students and are under the general supervision of the program Supervisor of Special Education.

Effective July 1, 2010 Also must meet one of the following four qualifications:
Skills Required: Verbal communication skills and the ability to follow directions.
Computer Skills: Basic skills related to data entry, internet/email usage, word processing, and spreadsheets.
Certification Desired: CPR/First Aid/AED
Certification Required: Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), Safe Crisis Management Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (SCM) or Quality Behavioral Solutions: Safety-Care Crisis Prevention (QBS), as directed by program needs
