Job summary

Banner University Medical Center Phoenix is seeking a Physician Assistant to join our Palliative Care team. You will work with an interdisciplinary group to provide compassionate, high-quality care for patients with serious illnesses in an academic medical center setting.

The role focuses on clinical management, serious illness conversations, pain and symptom control, and end-of-life care, with collaborative planning and goals-of-care discussions.

Qualifications

• Current/Eligible Physician Assistant Certification and Arizona License.
• Current CPR, BLS, and ACLS.
• Current prescribing privileges including a DEA license for controlled substances.

Responsibilities

• Clinical management of palliative care patients.
• Leading serious illness conversations with patients and their families.
• Managing malignant pain and complex symptom control.
• Providing inpatient end-of-life care.
• Offering consultations on goals of care and advance care planning.
• Collaborating closely with physicians and other clinicians in a team-based care model.
