Job summary

SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment in Williamsburg seeks a Full-Time Painter to lead in-park painting projects, ensuring safety and quality while supporting year-round operations. You will apply coatings using spray equipment, brushes, and rollers, and assist with preparation, cleanup, and material selection.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of onsite painting experience, familiarity with hazardous materials, and the ability to work on scaffolding up to 24 ft.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of onsite painting experience or equivalent.
• Experience with chemical/hazardous waste handling.
• Ability to obtain a company driver’s license including high reach and forklift licenses.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfort working on scaffolding up to 24 ft and in height.
• Pass a respirator fit test.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and push/pull up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Experience with paint/ body repairs and fiberglass refinishing.
• Familiarity with Mach and Sata HVLP guns.
• Willingness to work varied shifts including openings/closings.

Responsibilities

• Perform general park painting tasks with safety for guests and staff.
• Use spray equipment, brushes, and rollers as required.
• Pressure wash, assemble/dismantle scaffolding.
• Plan daily workload and meet operating deadlines.
• Select appropriate materials for jobs.
• Maintain cleanliness of paint shop and storage areas.
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
