Job summary

John Knox Village in Pompano Beach, FL is seeking skilled Full‑Time Painters to update residential units and common areas within our 70‑acre Life Plan community. The Painter will prepare, patch, and paint assigned areas, maintain a safe workspace, and support renovation projects with your team.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of professional painting experience, are able to lift up to 40 lbs, climb ladders, and work in varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional painting experience
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs, climb ladders, squat, and stand for up to 8 hours
• Ability to work in all weather conditions, indoors and outdoors
• Valid Florida driver’s license
• Proficiency with hand and power tools
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbal and written

Responsibilities

• Maintain all work areas in a clean and safe manner
• Properly patch and prepare surfaces for painting
• Use protective materials to prevent damage
• Apply the correct amount of paint to ensure full coverage and minimize waste
• Leave one quart of labeled paint in each completed unit
• Maintain all equipment and tools provided by John Knox Village
• Secure and lock work areas to ensure safety of residents, visitors, and staff
• Train and teach staff as requested
• Assist with supply orders and communicate material needs to the Manager
• Support team members as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned
