Job summary

Spee Dee Delivery Service in Wisconsin is seeking a Full-Time Package Handler to load, unload, and sort freight accurately and efficiently to support timely deliveries.

Two shift options are available: 5:00 PM and 10:00 PM, with 10–15 hours of overtime expected weekly and overtime paid at time and a half after 40 hours.

The role includes scanning barcodes, organizing packages by zip code, and performing light custodial duties, with comprehensive benefits and room to grow.

Responsibilities

• Unload packages by hand from fleet vehicles.

• Stack freight into trailers and routes to prevent damage and use space efficiently.
• Wash fleet vehicles to maintain company image, as needed.
• Perform light custodial duties to maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

The Full-Time Package Handler will load, unload, and sort freight accurately and in a timely manner to ensure quick delivery.

Hours and Wages

• Available Shifts:
  • Monday-Friday, 5:00PM Start
  • Monday-Friday, 10:00PM Start
• 10-15 hours of overtime expected each week
• Paid OT at time and a half after 40 hours per week
• $20.00-$25.25 per hour, based on experience
  • The posted pay range reflects the compensation range for this position. Starting pay will be determined based on relevant experience, qualifications, skills and internal equity. Employees are generally hired below the maximum of the range to allow room for future compensation growth as they gain experience, develop their skills and demonstrate increased proficiency in the role. Compensation increases are based on applicable company policies, performance and individual development

Duties and Responsibilities

• Unload packages by hand from fleet vehicles
• Scan package barcode labels while unloading for tracking purposes
• Sort each package by zip code, city, or state
• Stack freight into trailers and routes in a manner to prevent damage and utilize space efficiently
• Wash fleet vehicles to maintain company image, as needed
• Perform light custodial duties to maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment
• Perform other duties as assigned

Education and Experience

• At least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Physical Requirements

• Ability to bend, lift, twist, carry, and slide freight
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
• Ability to spend a minimum of 8 hours on your feet
• Ability to work with all types to freight which include, but are not limited to hazardous material, perishable food and alcohol, firearms, ammunition, and live animals
