Job summary

Premise Health in Schofield, WI is seeking a Full Time Physician Assistant to provide care to client employees and dependents at our Health Center. Conduct exams, prescribe treatments, and collaborate with physicians to deliver preventive and acute care in a convenient on-site setting.

You will manage patient care plans, order tests, educate patients, maintain records, and ensure continuity of care. Applicants must hold NCCPA certification, ARC-PA degree, and current licenses including DEA;

Qualifications

• Maintains state licenses/certifications to practice.
• Maintains Board of Pharmacy Prescribing License (if applicable).
• Current NCCPA national certification required.
• Degree from ARC-PA accredited program.
• Federal DEA license (matching each state of practice as applicable).
• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services.
• At least three years of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant in an ambulatory care, occupational health, family practice or emergency department setting.

Responsibilities

• Performs physical exams and preventive health measures according to guidelines.
• Performs injections, suturing, wound care and infection management.
• Develops patient care plans and ensures continuity of care.
• Educates patients on treatment plans and health maintenance.
• Orders and interprets diagnostic tests to assess conditions.
• Collaborates with physicians and healthcare teams for comprehensive care.
• Prescribes or recommends treatments, including medications and therapies.
• Refers patients to specialists as needed.
• Maintains patient health records with accurate documentation.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
