Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, has a Security Officer position in Gardner, KS. You will manage access, monitor activity, and provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a welcoming environment for employees and visitors.

The role includes monitoring access points, issuing passes, and performing patrols at a manufacturing/industrial site. Requirements include 18+, high school diploma, and background/drug checks.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Applicants will undergo background checks as required by law.
• A drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply per state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by following site-specific security procedures and access control policies.
• Monitor and verify credentials for authorized individuals; issue visitor passes and maintain entry/exit records.
• Control vehicle and pedestrian access; screen deliveries and direct people to designated areas.
• Respond calmly to alarms, unauthorized entries, incidents, and emergencies; notify site contacts or responders when needed.
• Conduct regular/random patrols of access points, production areas, parking lots, and perimeter to deter incidents.
