Job summary

Ayden Healthcare of Toledo is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our therapy team under the supervision of the Director of Therapy. The OTA will help patients achieve rehabilitation goals and improve daily living activities (ADLs).

This position offers a $3,000 sign-on bonus for full-time employment, with options for full-time, part-time, or PRN schedules. You will collaborate with clinicians to develop effective care plans and support ADLs to promote independence.

Qualifications

• Valid COTA certification from an accredited program.
• Knowledge of occupational health practices and patient care principles.
• Experience in a skilled nursing setting preferred but not required.
• Strong understanding of anatomy and physiology relevant to occupational therapy.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation standards.
• Excellent communication with patients, families and healthcare teams.
• Empathy, patience and patient-centered care.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documenting progress.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans as directed by the Director of Therapy.
• Provide direct patient care, ensuring safety and comfort during sessions.
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans and exercises to aid recovery.
• Document patient progress and maintain accurate records per medical standards.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to tailor care plans to each patient.
• Apply anatomy and physiology knowledge to inform treatment approaches.
• Support patients in performing ADLs to promote independence.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and training.
