Job summary

Flagship Therapy in Davenport, FL is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist for our in-house rehab program. You’ll evaluate and treat geriatric patients, develop care plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a post-acute setting at Davenport Post-Acute and Rehab.

We welcome licensed OT candidates at all experience levels, including new graduates, and offer a stable in-house therapy team with engaging programs to support recovery and quality of life for our clients.

Qualifications

• Must hold an OT license and be eligible to practice.
• New grads welcome, all experience levels considered.
• Open to excellent therapists joining our in-house rehab program.

Responsibilities

• Conduct effective screening and evaluation of patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, developing appropriate care plans adhering to regulatory and clinical standards.
• Deliver rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, in accordance with regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
• The role involves regular standing and walking throughout the facility and occasional lifting, transferring, and repositioning of patients and equipment. Physical demands vary throughout the day based on patient care needs.
• Administer various procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan, including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, use of supportive and assistive devices, and wound care.
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers regarding physical disorders.
• Generate comprehensive discharge summaries of services provided, ensuring compliance with regulatory and clinical requirements.
