Job summary

University Orthopedics in Cumberland, RI is seeking a Physical Therapy Aide to support therapists and patients in a busy orthopedic clinic. This full-time role runs Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and involves coordinating patient services and providing administrative assistance.

You will help set up treatment equipment, manage supplies and EMR data entry, assist with scheduling, and ensure a clean, organized work environment while traveling as needed to other sites.

Qualifications

• Active interest in athletics and ability to perform basketball, football, baseball drills, etc.
• Strong interpersonal skills with staff, patients and physicians.
• Computer experience and accurate data entry for patient appointments and scheduling.
• Professional, pleasant, cheerful, neat appearance.
• Solid organizational skills and reliability.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Must be able to travel to all sites if/when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Assist therapists in a busy orthopedic sports physical therapy clinic.
• Set up and facilitate use of therapy equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance of equipment and keep upkeep logs.
• Record inventory and order supplies.
• Stock linen for daily and weekly use.
• Maintain a clean clinic environment.
• Assist with scheduling therapy patients and collecting co-pays if needed.
• Assist with scanning information into the EMR.
• Answer and return phone calls and check patients in/out.
• Book patients into the EMR system.
• Additional duties as assigned by the Manager.
