Job summary

UPMC Community Medicine Incorporated is seeking a Full-Time Physician Assistant to support UPMC Regional Orthopaedics. The role includes assisting in the OR and managing a clinic schedule for return, post-op and some new patients, plus rounding on inpatients and assessing orthopedic patients in the ED.

The successful candidate will work with a team of surgeons and APPs to deliver high-quality orthopedics care while maintaining patient safety and satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARC-PA accredited PA program.
• Current PA license in the state.
• NCCPA certification and CPR certification.
• Hospital privileges may be required.

Responsibilities

• First assist in the OR and manage clinic schedule for return, post-op and some new patients.
• Round on inpatients and assess orthopedic patients in the ED.
• Provide patient care activities with independent judgment and collaboration with the care team.
• Establish collaborative relationships with physicians and other health care providers to improve outcomes.
