Job summary

RG&T Solutions is seeking a training designer for nuclear operations at the Clean Energy Center. The role will design, develop, and evaluate performance-based training programs aligned with regulatory standards and SAT principles.

You will update content with regulatory changes and industry reports while building trainee assessments and individualized training plans. Requires experience in nuclear operations and a related technical degree; SRO or Reactor Operator certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience operating equipment in nuclear, industrial, or military power plants.
• Degree in related technical field (associates or bachelor) with nuclear experience.
• Current or previous licensed Reactor Operator or SRO preferred.
• Strong knowledge of nuclear operations and regulatory standards.

Role Overview

This position involves designing, developing, and evaluating nuclear operations training programs specific to the Clean Energy Center (CEC). The role focuses on enhancing personnel performance through performance-based training aligned with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Conducts and coordinates licensed and non-licensed training programs following the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT).
• Ensures training content remains current by integrating industry reports, regulatory updates, and operational feedback.
• Prepares and evaluates trainee assessments across various training environments, developing individualized training plans as needed.
• Supports business initiatives, project management, emergency preparedness, and special projects related to CEC operations.
• Participates in audits, maintains training records, and responds to audit findings.
• Must obtain Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) certification within 18 months.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience as an equipment operator in nuclear, industrial, or military power plants, or an equivalent technical background.
• Alternatively, an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a related technical field, with relevant nuclear experience.
• Current or previous licensed Reactor Operator or SRO certification is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of nuclear operations, training methodologies, and regulatory standards.
