Job summary

UChicago Medicine Flossmoor is seeking a Medical Assistant to join the Neurology team onsite in the greater Chicagoland area. You will support patient flow, assist with exams, and perform a wide range of clinical and clerical duties under supervision.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program, BLS certification, phlebotomy training, and at least one year of medical office experience; familiarity with EPIC is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of a certified Medical Assistant program.
• Active BLS certification from AHA.
• Phlebotomy training; license/work experience as required.
• Minimum of one year of medical office experience.
• Experience with practice specialty.
• Certified Medical Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Support patient flow and accompany patients to exam rooms.
• Assist with exams and procedures; chart and relay instructions.
• Handle clerical tasks: scheduling, records, billing info.
• Maintain infection control; prepare rooms and equipment.
• Provide patient education and respond to emergencies as needed.
