Job summary

Knollwood Retirement Community is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Worker to perform routine building and grounds upkeep in the Greater St. Louis area.

The role involves inspecting, repairing, and maintaining resident rooms, common areas, and equipment to ensure safety and comfort for residents. You will address maintenance requests, troubleshoot basic electrical, plumbing, and carpentry issues, and conduct preventive maintenance while using power tools safely.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform equipment and preventive maintenance on building systems and facility tools.
• Proficiency with power tools and safe work practices.
• Basic carpentry skills for repairs and upkeep.
• Foundational plumbing skills for minor repairs.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Capable of lifting/moving materials and standing for extended periods.
• Effective communication and customer-service mindset with residents and team.
• Prior experience in facility/building maintenance; healthcare/senior living a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and repair resident rooms, common areas, equipment, and fixtures.
