Home Instead in Augusta, GA is seeking a dependable Full-Time On-Call Caregiver to provide high-quality care across the Augusta area and surrounding locations. This role focuses on filling open shifts on short notice, stabilising starts of care, and supporting high‑risk transitions.

This position guarantees 40 hours per week of pay, with an expectation of open availability and willingness to take short‑notice assignments.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of professional caregiving experience.
• Able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
• Current driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Valid automobile insurance.
• Provide client transportation as needed.
• Comfortable working in homes with pets.
• Comfortable with clients who smoke.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly to different client needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and companionship.
• Fill open shifts on short notice to ensure continuity of care.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Safely transfer clients using mobility equipment.
• Perform light housekeeping and meal preparation.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Provide transportation for appointments and activities.
• Document care and report changes in client condition.
• Maintain professionalism and confidentiality.
